Kalama Valley is located in the eastern portion of Hawaii Kai and is actually a rather distinct geographic area. Uphill from Sandy Beach, you can access this area via Kealahou Street, or from the other, lower side, over the ridge of Koko Head Crater. Along the way, you’ll pass Queens Gate, a gated golf course community. Kalama Valley narrows in the cliffs which rise above the area of Waimanalo on the windward shore.
Kalama Valley homes were primarily constructed in the 1970′s and into the 1980′s. Located in the valley is a small shopping center and park. Closeby, you’ll find Sandy Beach, a popular surfing and swimming beach.
